Unfortunately, we see that most of these bags are plastic and that’s what we wanted to change.

With a passion and a vision of replacing plastic footprint on our planet, Arka, which literally means ‘born from the sun’ began in 2018.

The Unique Production Process

  • Right from manufacturing the cloth to securing the final stitch, the whole process of production of Arka bags is carried out with utmost detailing and care.
  • From just one machine, 5 products and 20-25 units being produced of each product, Arka has now reached to 10 machines, 50+ products listed on Amazon and an astounding stock of 500+ units being shipped to Amazon facilities every week!
  • The journey has just started!

The Rural Support

  • With Arka you’d be able to indirectly support the rural women as we employ them and use their skills to make these amazing bags!
  • Arka provides employment to 40+ rural women for carrying various stages of bag production such as stitching, cutting, checking and packing!

The Reusability

  • Plastic is harmful for the environment as it is non-biodegradable besides that it may also prove to be toxic to your food.
  • Arka bags are made up of natural cloth and hence are reusable. A single reusable natural cotton bag replaces at least 500 plastic bags…so just imagine!
